We have been staying here every summer for the past 10 years. The grounds and facilities are always kept clean and neat. Quiet and relaxing environment with plenty of activities as well. Pool along with "Lake and Beach Toys" for the kids. Clint and Patty are exceptional hosts and always do whatever they can to make the camping/lodging experience great.
We were first time visitors, and Everything from the cabins to the boats, pool, children’s recreation area, fish cleaning area, laundry, facility, Beach, Beach, toys, were absolutely excellent. The lakes fishing was excellent with Walleye, northern pike, and pan fish. Owners Clinton and Patty Mueller showed how welcoming they were by the great way they treat there guests. They made our visit very easy and so enjoyable, that we will recommend the resort to all our friends and family. That recommendation does not come easily. THANK YOU! Very sincerely Paul and Cindy.
2025-Once again a pleasant stay. We stayed at Balsam Beach again this year, 2024. The cabin was super clean and well stocked. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay!
This is a fantastic resort. We have been to many resorts over the years and Balsam Beach is by far the best. The owners, Patti and Clint run this place perfectly. Patti is awesome!(Clint too). The cabins are very clean, comfy and the kitchen has everything you need. There is also a great playground for kids, volleyball, basketball, a beach at the lake, laundry facilities and even a heated pool filled with soft water! And to top it off the lake is a great place for catching fish. What would I recommend to the owners to improve?? NOTHING.
The Resort is always well taken care of and clean. Have option of pool or beach/lake -- both of which are always kept up. Clint and Patty awesome hosts! They always are adding new things. Families return year after year to the camp sites and cabins. We have have been returning for well over a decade now! Will be back next year!
Just got home, Indiana after two weeks at Balsam Beach Resort. This was our 4th year at the resort and it was simply wonderful. Patty and Clint are awesome. Beautiful cabins, great fishing and so much fun with the family. Reserved again for two weeks next year.
Camp ground is awsome. Great for kiddos. Only three campsites for non seasonal but they are on lake front so really nice spaces. Good fishing.
My husband and I grew up loving the outdoors. We both had demanding careers that didn't allow for much down time. After we decided that I needed to slow down and start enjoying life, and to share our love of camping with our family, we got a starter camper. We have stayed at other resorts (renting cabins here), but none have come close to Balsam Beach. Clint and Patty along with their fur babies Lucy and Emma, go above and beyond to ensure their guests are comfortable. My health issues and current ongoing treatments at Mayo Clinic have been a huge obstacle to family getaways. Not only was this a great resort, the harmony and peaceful feeling We got watching the lake at night and talking around the fire generated more healing than any medication could ever provide. If you want a quiet yet active resort to stay at, I assure you that you won't regret choosing Balsam Beach Resort. There is a lot to do and a great place to bring your kids.
